Lessons for Beginners-Young/Adult

Learning guitar can be fun,but it also takes plenty of practice for anyone to make even simple songs sound really good. I strive to balance the fun and work to keep the student focused and headed in the right direction yet remain interested, so they can attain their goals. Though I place great importance on each studentʼs particular interests and needs, the main subjects I recommend for most beginners are reading music notation and developing chord knowledge. The aim being to initiate the skills to play songs from a melodic(single notes) and rhythmic (chordal) perspective. The development of these fundamental skills lead to a deeper understanding of the skills required to play the guitar and for the student to make their individual adjustments to these challenges. Being able to read music and play basic chords with simple rhythm at even a rudimentary level enables a beginner to interact with another musician on a musical level.
